British Airways have announced that they will bid farewell to its three remaining Boeing 757s on Saturday October 30 with a special tour around the UK.
To add some extra style to the day, one of the aircraft, G-CPET, has been repainted in the airline’s 1983 “Negus & Negus” livery.
The release further urges Aviation fans to watch as the “retro” painted aircraft visits Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh during its final day in British Airways’ service.
According to te release made available on BA’s website, the final flights will be:
BA1384 Heathrow to Manchester departing at 0745 and arriving at 0840
BA1389 Manchester to Heathrow departing at 1000 and arriving at 1105
BA1482 Heathrow to Glasgow departing at 1215 and arriving at 1340
BA1487 Glasgow to Heathrow departing at 1425 and arriving at 1545
BA1454 Heathrow to Edinburgh departing at 1725 and arriving at 1850
BA1463 Edinburgh to Heathrow departing at 1935 and arriving at 2100
The other two aircraft will fly from Heathrow on Spanish services during the day.
Following the retirement of the Boeing 757 from British Airways, the airline will primarily use a mixture of Airbus A319, A320 and A321s on its shorthaul network supported by a small number of Boeing 767s.
“We say farewell to the aircraft with a lot of happy memories and hope that customers onboard the final few flights around the UK will enjoy the day as well.”
