Thunderbird 3.0.4

 
A new version of Thunderbird 3.0.4 is out and ready for download. Thunderbird comes in a class of its own to fightimage email overloads, viruses, spam and Identity theft among others. The new Thunderbird has several features that will improve stability, security and user interface.
New features in Thunderbird 3 include:
Advanced Filtering Tools. This feature enables user to filter results by sender, tag, attachments etc. Email filtering can also be achieved by timeline tool. The New Global Search Field is another important feature that auto-completes user’s address book and prompts the user to search everywhere.
New Mail Account Setup Wizard. Easily compatible with several popular email mail providers.  This feature only requires user to provide name, valid email address and password to set up new accounts. Other important features include:

  • Redesigned Mail Toolbar

  • Tabbed Email Messages

  • Smart Folders

  • New Message Summary View

  • Column Headings

  • Message Archive

  • Activity Manager

  • New Add-ons Manager

  • Improved Address Book

  • Improved Gmail Integration

  • Integration with Windows Vista. Thunderbird will prompt to install its indexing system into Windows Vista and you can choose to see Thunderbird email and news messages in Windows search results.

  • Mac OS. Thunderbird 3 integrates with Spotlight, can import from Mail.app, read your OS X address book, and use Growl for new mail alerts.
