Opera Mini App approved for the App Store

Here is the good news to all iPhone and iPod users. Opera has announced that its popular mobile browser, Opera Mini has been approved for iPhone and iPod touch on the App Store. 

According to information posted on their website, the software giants say that Opera Mini enables fast mobile Web browsing by compressing data by up to 90 percent before sending content to the device, resulting in significantly improved page loading. Users  will notice an improvement in speed, especially on slower networks such as the 2G Edge network. 

The Release further says Surfing the Web with the Opera Mini  on iPhone and iPod touch will also help users save money because of its data compression capabilities especially while the user is incurring roaming charges.
The Opera Mini App is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at itunes.com.
The latest developments at Opera significant indicate how steadily they are gaining a share on the market. The Oslo-based giants recently announced that their Opera browsers have registered over one hundred million users between March, 2009 and March, 2010. Congratulations!
