Windows XP Operating System

Are you having trouble with your Windows XP copy? You were in the middle of booting up your computer and all of a sudden your system does not function well? Or your system boots up perfectly but says some Operating System software files are corrupt? Wait, this could be a problem that needs your attention. Are you asking how? Yes how? This could be a result of some operating system files not working properly or your computer is giving you some messages that some files are missing. Right, if this is the case your Windows copy needs some resuscitation. Let's see how we are going to repair this problem together.

Your computer came with an Operating System Software CD named Windows Home or Professional. If not, grab a copy from software vendor or dealer in your area. Watch out for fake copies of Windows! That is the tool we are going to use. Let's follow this simple procedure together:
  • Insert the Operating System Software CD into the CD/DVD Drive
  • Restart your system
  • When 'press any key to boot form CD' message comes, press the space bar or any key to continue.
  • Windows will be loading files
  • After files have been loaded or copied, Windows will prompt you to select an option from the list.
  • Select Enter to install the Windows copy. Make sure you are using the right CD ie Windows XP Home for Windows XP Home and XP Pro likewise; otherwise Windows won't repair.
  • Press F8 to accept.
  • Windows will check for previously installed copy of Windows.
  • Windows will now give you results of the previously installed copy of Windows.
  • Press R to Repair or Enter to install a fresh copy. If you opt for a fresh copy installation, your previous data will be lost.
  • You will be prompted to select options for you to proceed, select accordingly.
  • Windows will start the Repair
  • You may be prompted to enter Product Key in the process. If so, your product key is found on a shiny sticker on the side or top of your System unit. Check on a sticker where it is written Certificate of Authentication.
  • Select desired regional settings if asked to do so.
  • Windows will let you know when Repair work has finished.
  • You may be propmted to restart your computer.
  • Remove the CD and go on with your normal day's work. All data is intact including your previous settings.
