Toshiba introduces cutting-edge NAND-type flash memory

Toshiba has developed the world's smallest product of the cell (8 GB) high capacity NAND commercialized type flash memory, mass production is expected to commence today.

The 24nm, 64 Gbit product is fully commercialized. The new product will enhance production efficiency by reducing the chip size and technology of fine cutting edge to enhance the product line capacity in a small package. In order to achieve this, Toshiba adopted Toggle DDR technology in the interface design in order to achieve fast data transfer speeds of NAND-type flash memory. In recent years where smartphone, digital camera and PC production continues to boom, the application of such small package chips and fast data transfers are vital in meeting user’s needs.
