Making strides in the technology industry, Sharp Corporation has developed “Intelligent Power Conditioner” that enables batteries in electric vehicles to be used as storage batteries for the home. Currently, Sharp has embarked on on-going tests to confirm safety and reliability of the new system. If results are positive, Sharp targets to make the new technology commercially available in the near future.
This development comes at a time when Sharp wants to achieve its goal to to make its Eco House concept a reality which means next-generation house will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by conserving energy and reducing the amount of electrical power consumed in the home. According to the statement available on it website, Sharp is focusing on three themes: solar cells, storage batteries, and DC (direct-current) appliances.
